Associate Professor
Ian Marschner is Biometrics Director for Pfizer Australia. In this capacity he heads the statistical and data operations for Pfizer clinical trials conducted in the Asia-Pacific region and engages in global multinational studies. Previously he was Director of Research Methodology and Biostatistics at the NHMRC Clinical Trials Center, University of Sydney, where he worked on multinational clinical trials in cardiovascular disease, and also held a position as Associate Professor of Biostatistics in the Faculty of Medicine. Dr. Marschner spent five years on the Faculty of Harvard University, where he held a position as Associate Professor of Biostatistics at the Harvard School of Public Health. In this capacity he was a Senior Biostatistician at the Harvard Center for Biostatistics in AIDS Research, working on NIH funded AIDS clinical trials. He obtained a PhD in Statistics from La Trobe University in Melbourne and continues to hold an honorary appointment as Associate Professor at the University of Sydney. He has over 15 years experience in Biostatistics and Clinical Research, with over 50 research publications.
